The short answer
Villa's Pro Painting repairs drywall damage and paints the repaired wall in the same visit. Patches are taped, coated, sanded and primed, and the whole wall or ceiling is repainted so the repair doesn't show.
What we repair
- Nail pops and screw pops, common in Minnesota homes as the framing moves through the seasons.
- Dents and holes from door handles, furniture and old wall anchors.
- Cracks at corners, over doors and along taped seams.
- Water stains on ceilings and walls, once the leak has been fixed.
- Patches left behind by electricians, plumbers and old fixtures.
How a repair is done
- Damaged material is cut back to solid drywall and the opening patched.
- Seams are taped and coated in thin layers, with sanding between coats, until the patch sits flush.
- The patch is textured to blend with the wall around it.
- Water stains get a stain-blocking primer so they don't bleed back through the new paint.
Why we paint the whole wall
- Touching up only the patch almost always shows. The new paint reads a little different in sheen and color from paint that has aged on the wall, a problem painters call flashing.
- Repainting the full wall or ceiling, corner to corner, is what makes the repair disappear, so that is what we recommend.
“For once a firm that does what it says they will do when they say they will do it.”

Questions
It shouldn't. The patch is feathered out, textured to blend, primed, and the whole wall is repainted so there's no flashing.
Not if the leak is fixed first. We seal the stain with a stain-blocking primer before painting.
